Individual Counseling

In counseling I provide a safe environment for the client to process through emotional issues and/or trauma to increase level of functioning and work toward achieving balance and peace.

Teen Coaching

In Teen Coaching I partner with the client in a thought provoking and creative way to help set and achieve goals to reach both personal and academic potential.

 Parent Coaching

In Parent Coaching I partner with clients to build and maintain connection with their children during the challenges of adolescence. We focus on building a sense of significance and belonging for every member of the family.

Postpartum Support

The birth of a new baby is a time of transition in a family. Adjusting to the needs of a newborn while attending to your own self care is overwhelming. I have been there myself (3 times). Each woman's experience postpartum is unique. I see this a a wonderful opportunity to track complex emotions and seek peace.....in the midst of being sleep deprived and overcome with the magnitude of a new life and fluctuating hormones. 

Fees

$125 for individual 50 minute session 

 

My Approach

I approach the therapeutic relationship as an opportunity to partner with the client to process trauma and achieve a feeling of contentment and growth.I specialize in working with individuals to achieve balance through an integrated and interpersonal approach. The primary counseling theory/modality that I use is Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Counseling theory provides many research based strategies to assist you in your journey to emotional well-being. I consider this to be the professional "toolbox". Yet, there is a unique component to each therapeutic relationship that goes beyond a "toolbox".  There is no one single theory that works for every person or every situation. It is important that the client develop the skills to achieve emotional well-being. I am drawn to theories that are non-pathologizing. You are not a diagnosis. You are a human with individual differences and various parts. Understanding your parts can help you have a better understanding Self.
